Your second shot

Canon’s latest ad campaign highlights the low-light capabilities of its Powershot (point and shoot) camera series, by helping to ‘recreate and recapture’ moments that would have been ‘lost in the dark’ had it not been for Canon technology (i.e. its image processor and ISO sensitivity). As a Canon-fan, I a bit bias, but I love the way ‘Your second shot‘ features amateur photography around the world, and the stories and people attached to them. Seemingly modeling after the popular photo-sharing site Flickr (user-generated content, interactivity, etc.), this should turn out to be a strong campaign. What I can’t understand is why they felt the need to include videos about ‘finding the photo’ that closely resemeble a match.com commercial.
