This short documentary called “Influencers: How Trends & Creativity Become Contagious,” is a well-produced look into what defines an ‘influencer’ and how their influence can lead to cultural movements. A lot of the ideas are borrowed from literature related to social media, such as Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point or Amy Shuen’s Web Strategy 2.0, but I found it inspiring and filled with great visuals and anecdotes which bring to life the creatives in NYC hoping to shape pop culture.
