Visibly Smart

Intel’s new ‘Museum of Me‘ asks participants to ‘visualize yourself.’ Its a powerful dictate illustrated through a surprisingly evocative digital depiction of a person’s role in social media, which leverages Facebook content to populate virtual gallery spaces. Interestingly, the experience provoked both positive and negative brand associations, by both inspiring me to change my Facebook [...]

Red Bull Street Art View

On the heels of Google’s Art Project, comes Red Bull Street Art View. Using Google’s “Street View,” the Art View will feature crowd-sourced images of graffiti from all over the globe. The concept, which originated at the Brazilian ad agency Loducca, is making a fine attempt at parlaying the ‘counterculture cache’ of graffiti. However, for [...]

Making the invisible visible

Mentalgassi (a street art collective) and Amnesty International have teamed up to produce lenticular fence posters around London to raise awareness about the presumed innocence of the death row inmate, Troy Davis. The resulting image is amazingly poignant. Check out the making of video:

Influencers

A lot of the ideas are borrowed from literature related to social media, such as Malcolm Gladwell’s The Tipping Point or Amy Shuen’s Web Strategy 2.0, [...]

Your second shot

Canon’s latest ad campaign highlights the low-light capabilities of its Powershot (point and shoot) camera series, by helping to ‘recreate and recapture’ moments that would have been ‘lost in the dark’ had it not been for Canon technology (i.e. its image processor and ISO sensitivity). As a Canon-fan, I a bit bias, but I love [...]

Internative Festival

The first online music festival – created and distributed over the internet – has been brought to us by Eristoff vodka. You can call it genius marketing, I call it about time! Kiss goodbye to the 150 euro day pass and hello to free, live, streaming content! Of course it doesn’t come close to the [...]

Let the games begin

World Cup-inspired ads are starting to pop up in the subways. I didn’t understand why they were in English. Were they intended for the tourists? Then my French friend said, “you know…like the Bee Gees!”  haha. my mistake.
